Solitary bees all in Cocoon phase - July box photos.
All bee larvae have now spun their cocoons. Some residues of pollen are still present, so my hypothesis that they only start the phase when all is eaten is disproven.
The differences are not easy to see via photos, but I have taken two photos two weeks apart to try show that all larvae in the cocoon phase. Basically, the first photo shows white larvae blobs still present, the second taken two weeks later (this weekend) show an absence, and more golden moist cocoons in their place.
Mid-July: last of the Solitary bee larvae

End-July: All Solitary bees are in Cocoon phase

Actually the photos are not that good. Apologies. Got to get a good macro camera.
